The site is in beta and charges nobody. Where applicable, the commercial-register entry will be published here before paid listings open — we would rather this page be incomplete and true than complete and invented.

02What this site does — and does not

Wedding Planner Map is a directory. It describes wedding planning agencies and puts couples in touch with them. It plans no weddings, sells no wedding services, takes no commission on weddings and is not a party to the contract between a couple and an agency. No payment passes through the site.

During the beta, the profiles shown are examples: they carry a “demo profile” label and the agencies they describe do not exist. Three pages explain how things work: ranking, reviews and disputes.

03Hosting and technical providers

Three providers, and nothing else. We name them because a visitor is entitled to know whose hands their data passes through.

No ad network, no social buttons, no third-party map. The site’s security policy technically forbids loading outside scripts — the audience measurement described below is served from our own domain, which is the only reason it is possible here.

04Personal data

Processing is subject to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors from the European Union, to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we receive, and why

• Your enquiry: date or season, region, guest count, rough budget, your name and email. Purpose: handling the enquiry and making the introduction. Legal basis: the pre-contractual steps you ask us to take. Today that enquiry reaches our mailbox and we answer it ourselves, since the profiles are examples; when real agencies are listed, it will be sent only to the agencies you chose, and to nobody else.
• The agency form: the professional details needed to check and publish a profile. Legal basis: the pre-contractual steps the agency asks for.
• An email alert: your address and search criteria, so we can tell you when an agency matches. Legal basis: your consent, withdrawable at any time with a line to the address above.
• Your IP address: the host sees it, and our server function keeps it in memory for a few minutes to stop a robot sending a hundred forms. We write it to no database. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in not drowning in spam.

How long

Messages stay in our mailbox for as long as it takes to handle the enquiry, and at most twelve months. A deletion request is honoured without argument and without delay.

What we do not do

• Sell, rent or hand over your data. Never, to nobody, for no amount.
• Add you to a newsletter because you sent an enquiry.
• Profile you for advertising, or take automated decisions about you.
• Store your location: it is never sent to us.

Transfers outside Switzerland and the EU

Two of the providers above are established in the United States. The data passing through their hands — page hosting and the delivery of form emails — is therefore processed there, on the basis of the contractual safeguards and compliance commitments those companies publish.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction, its deletion, a restriction of processing, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, withdraw your consent, or receive your data in a readable format. One email to contact@weddingplannermap.com is enough, with no form and no proof of identity if we can identify you otherwise. Answered within thirty days.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or to your country’s data protection authority if you live in the European Union.

05Cookies, audience measurement and local storage

This site sets no cookies. Not advertising ones, not analytics ones, not “strictly necessary” ones. That is why no banner asks for your consent: nothing is written to your device, so there is nothing to consent to.

We do measure audience, using our host’s built-in tool (Vercel Web Analytics). It counts page views, where visits come from, the country and the device type — nothing else. It stores nothing on your device: two visitors are told apart by a fingerprint computed from the request, reset every night, which cannot follow you from one day to the next or from one site to another. No profile is built, no data is sold, and the results are only totals. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are of any use. You can object with a line to the address above.

Two things stay in your browser, on your device, and never reach us: the list of agencies you shortlist, kept so you find it again next visit; and your position, if you press the locate button — used then to sort agencies by distance and show “40 km away”, nothing more. Clearing the site’s data in your browser erases both.

06Intellectual property

The texts, structure and code of this site belong to its publisher. The illustration photographs come from Unsplash, under a licence allowing commercial use; they are the work of none of the agencies on whose profile they appear, and the profiles say so. The photographs, logos and names of listed agencies belong to those agencies. Other trademarks cited belong to their owners.

A link to a page of this site is always welcome, no need to ask. Systematically extracting the directory to rebuild it elsewhere, however, is not permitted.

07Liability

The information on a profile is declared by the agency then checked before publication — the vetting page page details what we check and what we do not. We guarantee neither how a wedding goes nor the outcome of a service. Links to outside sites commit only those who publish them. The site comes with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability.

08Reporting an error or illegal content

Wrong information on a profile, a photo that belongs to you, a plainly false review, illegal content: write to contact@weddingplannermap.com with the page address. We check and correct without asking the agency first, and we answer you either way.

09Applicable law

The site is published from Switzerland and Swiss law applies. Mandatory consumer-protection rules are reserved: a consumer living in the European Union keeps, in particular, the right to bring a case before the courts of their own domicile. The disputes page details the routes that exist, in Switzerland and in the EU.
